The classic Copacabana beach and its colorful sidewalk is an obligatory stop for those who want to swim, walk around or just enjoy the atmosphere of the city. It is one of the favorite beaches of foreign tourists. Close to Copacabana, you can find the Arpoador beach, a spot filled with surfers and people doing stand up paddle. On its rocks that crown one end of the sea, sunbathers and tourists take the opportunity to admire the sunset.

There are also beaches like Joatinga and Grumari that are far away from the South Zone of the city so visitors have to drive to get there but they are so glamorous and far more quiet that goers guarantee: the beauty and calm you find there worth the trip.
